Got dilemma meh? Ask yourself why you wanted the dry cabinet in the first place??? If it is for show then show it. If it is to put your gear in it to slow down fungus growth then put them in.

There's nothing wrong in putting your batteries in the dry cabinet. The very most you shorten the lifespan by 20%. That is nothing compared with putting it outside and you get fungus growth and infecting the precious camera which cost 30x more.

Suggest you store your money notes on the dry cabi as well if you have pretty of room; it does collect fungus and can be key locked. Better than keeping in your safe box

Batteries in Dry cab ok la. People living in dryer climate (like california) will experience short battery life meh? When I lived in California, the batteries seems to perform the same. Store your batteries where ever it pleases you.

I also store my batteries in the dry cab, only because I like everything to be in one place. When I kit up, I just open the 2 doors to my dry cab, and load what I need, including the batteries. Sort of like a gun locker...

methinks you need a dry room soon...!

Seriously I wonder why people ask such questions.
Have we become such a "scared" (kiasu) society, that every decision we make must go through a committee of inquiry into best practises, before a decision can be made?

Might as well not buy the camera in the first place, judging from the amount of 'fear' people have about storing their precious gear...

it is fine to leave the batteries inside the dry cabinet.

whether inside or outside the dry cabinet is not a main issue, the main key is how often you use and check your batteries.
if is Alkaline batteries, better to put in a container and check them regularly, cos they leak when aging.

Not really... just 2 DSLR bodies and 1 PnS. 5 Lens and 3 flash. I just don't like squeezing everything into just one cabinate.

I am running out of room in my 170L dry cab... And I have less camera bodies than you, no video camera, but slightly more lenses...

Actually come to think of it, I am running out of room in my room...

I leave cameras, lenses and guitars in a temperature and humidity controlled room (aircon set on timer and a dehumidifier). The rooms RH is between 45-50%. The dehumidifier has a sensor that only activates the unit when the RH goes higher then what I set it for. The room is nice and dry and is comfortable to be in even if I intentionally leave the aircon off. Just like being in the the US or Hawaii at the end of summer. THe room is the size of a small HDB bedroom and the door is sealed to prevent too much outside air in.

So far I have not experienced any issues with my cameras, lenses or more importantly my acoustic guitars.
