Thread: Secondhand CD shops?

  1. #1

    Question Secondhand CD shops?

Harlow ... I'm looking for CD shops that purchase audio CDs and VCDs from the public. Do you know of any? ... in particular any that offer good prices??

Looking to sell ard 100 CDs ... inclusive of Chinese, English & Jap CDs (6yrs - 6mths old) ... as part of my effort to raise funds for the Sensires Camera-Purchase Fund...

I've tried Gramophone @ Specialist centre but they offer an average of only $1 per CD regardless of language. And they don't take Singles. They will pay $4-5, but only for very new titles (and by that I assume titles < 1-2 months old) ...

    Help help!!

Gramaphone buys 2nd hand CDs at a better price than a lot of other places, since the people there know about the pricing and attrition of musical CDs of different genres. I know they do buy in CDs of some genre at a higher price than others. Most of the popular CDs won't really receive much, since they are usually mass-produced, and suffer a higher attrition than other more specialised genre, like jazz.

If your 100 CDs are mainly of popular music, think it would fetch a higher price via auctions, or through music forums.
