    1DMKIII/IV are even faster .....

Most of my sports event shooting now, in particular IPSC Shooting is in machine gun mode, as I want to study the gun action and recoil management.

    Cheers ....

You probably need to do high speed photography. Using sensors and remote triggers to get the exact timing.

Depends on what you want to achieve. I am not doing anything scientific, just for me, its interesting to see how people react when moving, shooting under pressure, and what happens to the gun when the grip is not tight.

During our monthly club matches, I shot alot of people, both experienced and new, to show movement. A 10sec burst in machine mode, (jpeg) with lots of movement, can reveal a lot of information.

Yes I know people can say use video, but very hard to do a slow motion review. Last year in August, my friend from Japan was here and he had P&S with video(forgot the brand was new out in Japan), which could show frame by frame playback of the video, and a super slow motion replay.

example: when they are standing static, on signal draw and start shooting, but if they have to change position, movement is involved, so they are now one hand comes off the gun, next position, the hand is back on the gun, but not where it should be, hence the gun handles differently and they wonder why they miss.

Or to show them while moving where the muzzle of the gun is, has it broken the 180degree etc, which is influenced by how they move.

As they say a picture is worth a thousand words.

To me its fun and interesting and do manage to get some cool shots that you dont see until you review them.

    Cheers ....

Do share them if you're able to... it'll be pretty interesting. I love weaponry, but dun have much chance to handle them over here in SG.

Well there are 2 local clubs here, where you can shoot both handguns and shotguns.

I have had my 2 custom built revolvers here, since 1990, when I come here for work from New Zealand. Since then I have bought what we term race gun, completely customised.

Here are some guns we shoot.

My present Open gun is the same as shown in the 1st picture, the 2nd picture was my old standard gun before I sold it, and the Open Revolver is mine also.

There are many many types of guns available to shoot. Also contrary to popular opinon, civilians can own handguns/rifles/shotguns in Singapore.

Yes correct, you must be a registered member of either Singapore Rifle Association, or Singapore Gun Club as a civilian to be able to own your gun, which will be kept at the range.

However there are some people however that can carry shotguns only in public, which is to do with Crow culling which comes under NEA program. But this program is not open to all and people must pass a strict selection criteria.

Sometimes I feel like doing this too. But my profession cannot do that . At least I get proper holiday but it's also the kids' holiday. Peak period for travel.
