hey guys i have the 50mm f1.8 which is like around 1 year plus old got alot of dust inside.. and i wanna clean it the question is how much would it be for cleaning of dust.. inside have no fungus at all keep in dry cabinet but got lots and lots of dust lastime use to abuse it as it is cheap..
if the cleaning is to ex better get new one rite.. but the only thing is ouch need to order and wait.. i think should be around 120-130 rite.. thanks.. ![]() |

i think it costs around $40 to service
they called me up by mistake and said it'll cost $40 to service my 50mm when i told them i only wanted to calibrate my 10d and my lenses are there for this reason.

kidding. Anyway I clean the lens pretty frequently and did it for some people already, until now it worked. Maybe I can pop by NP, long time nvr go back liaoz. wakakaka. i'll pm you my contact and we'll arrange again. ![]() |

If I didn't remember wrongly yours is the one with the fungas? No, I didn't have to remove the front elements, the dust were all at the rear. ![]() |

Yes, if the dust is on the real element but on front element are quite comment too. I realised cheaper len usually use glue on front element lor something like glass on watches. From my limited knowledge, there is a infrad-red tool to place the glass there to soften the glue then it can be remove. The watch industry uses a kind of transparent glue that place under ultra-violet light to let it dry and hold the glass together. It shd be the same stuff. |
