How to check the year of manufacture for EOS3

I read somewhere that the early batches for EOS3 have problems with metering(underexposed by 2/3 stop?)

And that this metering problem was address after the initial batches.

Where on the camera can we see the year-code and what the years(and thenafter) that the problem was resolved?

shld be after yr 2000
