Default MTV Asia Awards 2004

Covered the MTV Asia Awards 2004 for an agency on Saturday. It was pretty chaotic for the whoever covering it, but it's pretty fun as well.

BoA waves to her fans as she arrives at MTV Asia Awards 2004

Some of the photos (web res) I filed for them can be viewed: here

Nice to meet you oeyvind... it was a real eye opener for me and had great fun... pity I wasnt in the mood to eat cos the food spread looked great... hahaha

for those interested here is a fish eye view of the room where the photographers had to work with... for the observant ones who note some press using prosumer cameras don forget that the press include reporters who are fans themselves.. we even had some asking for autographs...

for an overview of the madness, you can tune into MTV Asia Awards 2004

that's a very mild scene... must be cos these 2 are "minor" celebrities, no offense to the fans of course. i mean minor as compared to international or regional names like the 2 Michelles (Branch & Yeoh), 5566, A*Mei, BoA, Stacie Orrico & Black Eye Peas.

normally when the big names are announced, there'll be a wall of cameras & lenses facing the stage.

yah right Larry... you wont expect me to mount fish eye and shoot the room when a big act comes in right? but then again if you have a backup there you could probably do it. Pity my buddy left earlier so I don dare to risk it.

Michelle Branch didnt come into the photo room... probably she did when I went to the Gents, Oeyvind can reconfirm on that. my photo was in the exact order how the stars came into the photo room. I confess I did miss some celebrities as I had two toilet breaks and dinner at 9 pm.

helping sebsong to answer... he was using a ultra-wide angle zoom. which explains the flare. i got the same thing cos the sun was directly in our frame.

and if you think that's expletive, i got some really raunchy photos of suzanne walker at the red carpet.
