Default Which Moniter are you using for Photo editing?

    Hi guys

Did a search on the forum but some the the post regarding monitors are quite dated. I am in the market for a moniter 24" that's good for photo editing. As i understand it.. IPS moniters are good for photo work...I can't afford a Eizo monitor, or a apple cinema display...what else is good?

Which monitor are you using?? Can you guys tell me your set up?? So many moniters !!! I have no idea which to get..

    Thanks in advance...

I'm happy with the Dell 2209wa. Best monitor I've ever owned.

In terms of photo editing, what kind of screen would you guys prefer? Reflective screen like the iMacs or the normal matt screen?

How come people are recommending IMacs?? Isn't that like a big NO NO?? the reflective screens and it being too bright...I dont think the IMac is good for professional use..

I only need to print my photos from time to time but since photos need to go to clients and printers...i still need to make sure its color correct right? lol sorry not very technical...

for professional work, please dont rely on iMac screens to do color correction because you have no way to tweak your whitepoint to the industry standard of 5000k within the hardware, and a software tweak will just make things worse.
    sigh.

using dell 2407WPF-HC S-PVA panel, matte screen for me! =),

like flipfreak mentioned, go for the U2410 for IPS panel, be sure to get a calibrator to go with it, else the best monitor would be inaccurate as well =x

You can calibrate the iMac display using Spyder 3 elite.

I think can get it for S$639.

    Online Price 1035
    Less cash off -296
Less additional cash off -100 (until 24/12/09. was -70 until 17/12/09)

Quite tempted but not sure if I should get it or is it not so good in some ways that's why so cheap?
