Whew...seem like the transition to E-TTL II is not really that painful.

First, E-TTL II does not require any changes to either the flash units or lenses used with an E-TTL II camera - the changes are all internal to the camera body. And second, while E-TTL II does use distance data when it’s available and when it’s appropriate, you can still use older lenses just fine. |

in all likelihood, E-TTL II is just marketing hype for algorithm change in firmware
just like digic...I mean duh. do you really care if a pc is amd or intel these days if both run the same application at the same speed |
