    Not the light, I think the exposure meter tried to balance to grey. Even if very bright light will probably also look like this when photos is taken, unless you compensate by over exposing a little.

    I love my Waterman too, but for practical purpose I am using a ballpoint. I like the heft of the barrel in the hand, plus it is not readily identifiable as an "expensive" pen like the ubiquitous Mont Blanc.

    I love fountain pens too but sadly I just realize that I am beginning to forget how to write...

    anyone knows of cheap fat grip f pens? like those high end watermans..
    I used to use rotring drafting pens LOL... those didn't have dynamic range (I take it as varying width)...
    nowadays how to top up ink? I gave up after each refill left my fingers blue and painful from pumping an old parker...

    You mean the drop shadow? It was created with PS. See under Layer Menu. (Layer - Layer Style - Drop Shadow)

    Pse don't knock it ok, that Montegrappa is a very expensive pen ok

    i do have to agree... it is probably an accquired taste... the montegrappa. I think it look very dramatised. Would prefer a more sleek design.

    the image by rty got me thinking coz i'm a complete idiot when it comes to fountain pens....so heres my qns...u still need to dip the nib into the ink to write? i tot the ink is inside the pen already, used finish juz refill?
