Thread: circular polarizer exposure compensation

    Default circular polarizer exposure compensation

When using circular polarizer I"m supposed to overcompensate by 2 plus EV acc. to my polarizer. But I read somewhere that if the metering is TTL then the polarizer's effect on light is oredi taken into account so there's no need to overcompensate further. May I know which is which? Can anyone advise?

If you are using a camera with TTL metering, the loss of light is already compensated for, so there's no need to compensate manually.
