    Default Mobile Broadband

I am coming to Singapore for a holiday soon, from Australia. I need to have the convience of internet for uni work. I have looked at Starhub, M1 and Singtel's website and it seems Starhub's prepaid plan is cheaper than M1 or Singtel but it looks like only Singtel provides the modem? Can you buy Starhub or M1 modem from them? if you can, how much? and which service is more reliable?

Their modem cost a lot. You can buy the modem at Funan (http://www.funan.com.sg/) at South Asia Computer (http://www.sa.com.sg/) level 3.

You can get any of this 2 item:

    http://www.prolink2u.com/new/products/index.php?cid=84
    http://www.prolink2u.com/new/products/index.php?cid=152

The better one cost less than S$150. They may have other brands modem. If they don't have, go to other shop and check. The place have a lot of IT shops.

I have used the M1 service before, and am on Starhub now (but both not the prepaid ones)......

I had problems connecting onn the M1 grid in the Clementi MRT area, and some people reported same problems in certain other areas. I suspect this is occurring when the M1 base stations are overused........(i had no connection at all near the Clementi MRT area, everytime I tried), but had no problems connecting in the Funan area.......have not really tried other areas

I am now on Starhub, and no problems at all, I can log on in Clementi too, no problems

Yup... and you can get them in the Cheers or even 7-11 convenience stores.
