IIRC, NTFS technology is proprietary to Microsoft only. I think Apple only has the license to read off NTFS drives in OS X.

i uninstalled my MacFuse and NTFS-3G and installed the SL-NTFS.

did a reboot for and connected a external HDD. launched the SL-NTFS pref pane and click on the Write Permission checkbox.

    this is what i got...

"NTFS-3G could not mount /dev/disk1s1 at /Volumes/FreeAgent Drive because the following problem occurred:

    dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libfuse.2.dylib

    Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/ntfs-3g
    Reason: image not found"

    what gives eh?

how did you uninstall macfuse/ntfs-3g? by right clicking on the respective icons in system preferences and selecting remove?

maybe not clean. right-click remove in preferences panes is the correct method.

Of course, it does. I hand picked it.

The first link is an example of the kind of search you could do the next time you have a question.
