Default Different face of Singapore - A SAND DUNE!!!

Yes...there's a man made sand dune in Singapore...

The billowing clouds are so unreal and the colour of your so-called dune is so nice. Remind me alittle of the Ayres Rock...

Somehow I feel the clouds are abit overpowering (too much of it I guess) and adding a human interest in the foreground would spice it up. As it is now, it looks somewhat empty.

But still, a rather unusual picture in Singapore context.

Wow, where is this? I'd love to go there to take a look and grab some shots.

Nice. Like jas said, the clouds are abit overpowering but nonetheless an unusual shot in Singapore. I reckon if the light is lower/warmer and throws longer shadows it might look better. If you don't mind sharing, where's this place?

Thanks for the comments.

This is a place near Bedok Reservoir along Tampines Ave 10.

I took this pic on the new linkway from Kaki Bukit to Tampines Ave. 10.

It was an unusually cloudy day with the clouds seemingly corresponding to the curves of the dune.

There was slight adjustment with the curves, sharpening and resizing in PS. No other editing done.

The site is used to store sand and the sand will pile up to great heights on different times of the year.
