i am a beginer, have used my olympus c730 for one year and a half.
now want to switch to slr. wanna buy minolta since it has a high performence-price. i think Dynax 5 is a good choice, but several ppl suggested me that i should buy the minolta 800si if i dont want to update my carema very soon. Any one can give me some suggestion on this?Thx! any what about lense? heard minolta24-135 is very good |

Hiee....
Firstlly welcome to the minolta users section... THe Dynax 5 is a great camera and i have personally tested it out.... and its great. Its one of the newer models...but not the latest. The 800si is a great body and its has one of the great inbuild flash (powerful). I would recommend the dynax 5 (personal). But not that the dyanx 5 is silver....some people...juz prefer a black body. As for the lens.....all lens at the 24-135 zoom range is good for most use - with minor negligible such as edge distortions which is not obvious in small prints....all lens.....and camera...if not handled properly would give you soft and blurred image.... So i would suggest that you spend on what you can afford ....start simple and upgrade when the needs arise... have fun.....and once again...welcome to the minolta user...section Regards, sulhan |
