Default WTK : Adapter for 5060 and others....

New term : WTK = wish to know

With reference to the 3rd party lens adapter for 5060 by Soligor that someone have brought from a local shop, like to know more about the adapter and if possible some snapshot of it together with the camera.
Need to find a solution to my UV filter not knocking on the CLA adapter that i have which will give me "zoom error" and shutdown the camera.
Though somehow i have got used to the removing of filter, attach adapter, attach lens and blah blah blah. Hope to find a faster way out if there is.
Owners of the 3rd party adapter??? Please post shot is possible and your review on it with details like where to buy, price etc etc. I'm sure 5060's owners out here will be thankful of your little gestures.

For owners of the 3rd party adapter, have you try out any 3rd party conversion lens as well may it be tele or wide? Like to see the options available for my friend who might be buying 5060 soon. Brands, model and price will be nice if you can state it so easier for anyone who's interested to source for it. Not forgetting the quality review too. Love to find out from your (user) point of view on your purchase of lens.

Also to find out, anyone here brought the underwater casing for 5060? How much have it cost you and where you brought it? The review from overseas sites seem all up for this casing. Want to find out more.
Anyone know of any "gadgets" that allow me to "waterproof" my camera for wet weather or splashes of water? Might be taking picture of a water event soon. Hope to find something to protect my camera while taking pictures of people having fun in the water.

Thanks all for the time and effort. Hope to see some advices and input soon.
Cheers!

Hi,

I managed to get my hands on a 48.5mm - 52mm adapter in Rochor Rd.

Have tried with a SONY 0.5X WA lens @ CP, which causes Vignetting at full wide.

I reckon that since vignetting occurs even on the 0.5X WA, I can forget about the 0.45X as well........I can literally forget about using "fisheye".

Just my few cents worth........results might differ on other adapter though.

Would appreciate if anyone could advise on how I can "eliminate" vignetting at Camera's FULL-WIDE ??

Thanks in advance !!

I'm not too sure if there's any "limitation" but when i fix on my wide-angle by Olympus, got no vignetting at it's widest. However, i always set the accessories mode to wide so i'm not sure if the camera 'limit" itself at the widest. Maybe you can try setting the accessories mode to wide and shoot to see if there's still any vignetting.

Btw, how much you brought the adapter? and the wide lens? Thanks man!

Default Some findings while waiting for local users reviews...

Guess some, if not most of you might have found out about this.
Just put a link here for anyone who might be interested in getting 3rd party lens instead of going for Olympus very own range of lens.
From the pictures, it seems impressive. Anyone spotted it here in SG?

hi,
with the body size and relative placement of barrel and flash approximately the same for C-30xx/40xx/50xx; I was wondering if those using 52mm adaptors have a problem with shadows at bottom left of the taken pic?
This is due to "obstruction" of the flash's path by the big 52mm flared end?

This problem is physical and might push Oly users to stick with 41-43mm stuff, unless you totally wean yourself off the use of flash....
