Of all of your shots, you got number 3 good. Except that you got the shot framed a little off. But good posing by the subject. You got her in action and that ought to warrant some from me.

Good shot. That is what I would have wanted to caught myself if I were in your position.

Hi, this was taken on Fuji Xtra 800 and resized from a frontier CD scan.

The 2nd shot was included more as a fun shot to show the animated expression on her face contrasting with the surprised look from Joanne.

Merv: It was held last Thursday nite.

mervlam: Thanks, I really like the results from Fuji 800, as long as the exposure is good the colours are really nice and grainfree.

theITguy: I was using the Sigma 70-200HSM wide open at f2.8. The first shot is about 80mm while the last is about 200mm.

Thanks for the information. Now I know what to use in future should I need to shoot under such condition. You did use flash right?

Personally, Cai Lilian is an artiste which I respected a lot.
Mainly because,
1. She can really sing.
2. She has looks to boot.
3. She's really nice to the press. ^^

Anyway, if circumstances were different 10 years ago, she might had chosen to become a full-time singer and might already become as popular as Kit Chan, Tanya Chua or even Stepf. But she didn't, and chose to live the usual
Singaporean life. However, at least she kept her interest well alive and still managed to fufill her dream of cutting her own album. How many of us here will love our photography enough and have the convictions strong enuff to publish our own photobook? In this, she is already quite different from the rest of us.

Anyway, a few of my Taiwanese friends saw her picture while I was reading this thread. They didn't know who she is, but when I mentioned her name, some of them could remember her duet with You Hong Ming in her album.
They thought it was a nice song back then when the radio stations here gave it some airtime.
