Mastering is not only about reading. You need to practice.

Go to NLB got quite a number of photography books. Some even teach you a thing or two about using photoshop to enhance your shots.

... and don't forget to mention that you are a Clubsnap member to enjoy a 20% discount. (Hmmm... I wonder if this discount is applicable to only Riceball at Parkway Parade or Riceball all over Singapore...).

And of course, a warm welcome to you, yingyinggoh. Don't buy too many books.
Just one or two good ones enough. Ask the very helpful gentleman, Mr Lim at Riceball Funan Centre. He will recommend a couple of good ones for you.

yingyinggoh, you know how lucky you are nowadays?
Last time all of us newbies, when we asked questions, our good Rashkae bro will humtum with: "What's the Search button for? Go search yourself!".
    We all like crazy...
Nowadays he provides you with all the links... but not without emphasizing the importance of self-searching still. He is one senior!
    My respect.

Books can only do so much.

what you need to do is use the search engine this site offers as chances are the questions you ask have been asked. try using keywords like panning, aperture, shutter speed and even composition. And then go out and practice.
You wont see me much less remember me but i am the guy who makes you look good.

i just borrowed a book from NLB, by Kodak, written by Rob 'something'.... i forgotten his last name.

its a yellow, typical Kodak yellow colour book, with a boy jumping on the front cover.

its really good, explaining exposure and tech information.

Who else is better than Kodak itself in cameras and photography?
