Newbie on camera usage mode....
May I know where to read on how to use on the under mentioned modes for my digicam. 1) Portrait 2) Landscape + Portrait 3) Landscape 4) Self Portrait 5) Night Scene. I using a 2nd hand Olympus C300Z. |

However, here's the help you asked. I'm not too sure if your model is Stylus 300 over at US but this is what i found. Your online lesson on your camera Hope it helps. |

Best mode is Tv, Av or Manual. P mode also can.
The modes you mentions are actually preset modes by the camera manufacturer for begainners and newbies. I would advice, Tv, Av or Manual to better understand how your camera works. Besides, It's digital. so worst come to worst, switch back and retake the photos. Cheers |

There is no "best" mode. Use the mode that suits your shooting the best. If you have rather limited experience, the programme modes let you get started without having to dabble too much technicalities.
Aperture priority, shutter speed priority and manual manual modes gives you more control as you have partial or full input in operating the camera. |
