Post PTO Galera Pics

My so so pics. Was very cloudy and raining everyday. Little ambient light, so no WA shots.

Also, so damn freaking cold, cannot focus the camera and compose shots properly. Was shivering every dive.

Our group recorded 21 degrees celsius water temperature.
Another group recorded 20 degrees.

Was on 3mm shortie for the 1st day, 2nd day change to 3mm longie, then 3rd and 4th day, using 3mm shortie+ 3mm longie. Still not enough. Still cold...

Oh, pls kindly comment in my album. Thanks!

Wonderful composition and the pose of the Nudibranch is SPOT ON

Hope you don't mind me Hot-linking your photos for all to see

Default pygmy seahorse

quite impressed that you could capture a pygmy seahorse with your camera. always thought you would have to go down the slr+housing path to do those shots.

anyway, my friend will be going down to PG too. hopefully i can get him to post some shots too!

cheers,

Alan

ok, Verde Island is a must go.
For the pygmies, go to monkey beach.
There also got 2 buddha statues underwater, under some overhanging rock there, as the DM if he can show you where. Some diver for Manila died there, so the statues are for protection.

Shark cave, you must have a power torch, or not can barely see the shark, what more take pics of them. Big whitetips+ some juvenile ones.

Batangas channel and atoll got lots of nudis, but heard sinadigan has tons of it, but never go there myself yet..... bad weather.

Canyons is also a good site. But go there when have strong currents, cos lots of huge fishes that you can get very very close to.

Rem to bring extra wetsuits or anything to keep warm.
Water will be from 20-25 degrees. Mostly ard 23 avg.

Elma Jane wreck is not bad, but sabang wreck not too gd, IMHO. So is St Christoper wreck.

Hope you have better weather then me there.

Oh, the beef /cheese frundue(how u spell it) there is good and cheaper. Got to try. Can avoid going to the main town, boring as hell.

cheers!

oh, forgot to add. Some SG divers (when I was there), spotted mimic octupus just in front of the sabang beach during nite dive. No such luck for me. Maybe you can get lucky.

tks man. I'll definitely look out for them. Received news from the operator that they have spotted mimic octopus, mandarin fish and 3 diff colours of pygmy.....my hk friend is a serious amateur photographer and she is a regular tehre so they cater to her needs.

I wanna see the harloquin shrimp the most. Only have a 60mm lens so can't do much with the pygmy seahorses....
