Would be going there, unless anything urgent happen.
Just quickly adjust. The first few shots usually the nicer ones though, because less smoke.
Bros who had shot fireworks before previously at vivocity. Based on ur experience, is it better to shot with a wide angle or mid range zoom? Say if shoot from the sky garden? first time shooting fireworks here too!
hmm, i have only 2 prime. 35mm ok bo??
I have scouted Mt Faber and found that most angles are being blocked by trees. The only place might be at a restaurant and not sure they will allow camera and tripod.
What other places are good to camp?
Anyway, I'm just curious, if I take from the Vivo rooftop, will the ugly cranes or whatever construction lights over at Sentosa be a distraction in the photo? Perhaps someone who went last year could advise on this.
1st time shooting fireworks too. with my new GF1.
asking some pro here, is the pancake lens 20mm f1.7 ideal for fireworks? It's bright and fast but if I delay the shutter speed manually to get flare trails effect, will it over-expose?
Thanks in advance =)
i also experimenting, only know the theory from tutorials.
but the black card might not be very useful as the main purpose is to stack multiple fireworks into 1 picture. if the vivocity fireworks is choreographed by pros, most probably the fireworks should be quite complex already, so no need to add more.
i shoot in bulb mode.
F8-12 depending on background.
once i see the stuff being launched i press the shutter down till i see it explode then release..
more or less based on what i want to capture then when i will release the shutter
there have been numerous discussions on black card usage: Just have to search
