Very flat, 2D pic.
Try to take it in a 3D perspective. Some small angle tilt may make your shot look better. |

Try including the base of the tower in the shot. It will create more distortion but done right, it will give a greater impact to the shot. Might also want to wait for more dramatic clouds... like at dawn or dusk with the effect of a low sun.

Just a suggestion, maybe you could try various angles. Here's some of my humble shots I'd like to share with you when I was out testing night shots for the first time), but the DOF at some pics. looks a bit shallow due to poor scanning (it's sharper in print):-
Photos taken using Canon EOS300N + BP-200 (battery pack) + EF 28-90mm (lens) + SLIK (tripod) + RS 60-E3 (cable release) + Fuji NPH 400 (film) ![]() 10sec;f27 under the full moon ![]() 8sec,f9.5 The Twin Towers was pitch-black when this photo was taken directly under the full moon ![]() 30sec; f32 ![]() 20sec,f2.7 ![]() 30sec;f32 Public Bank building in front of KLCC Anyway, there's lots more angles to play around with such as framing the Twin Towers with the 20-30ft. fountain ! Hi Zekai,
My personal preference would be to see both towers together with the sky bridge linking the two, as in AllanPhang's 4th shot. You may be able to find interesting ways and angles to frame the shot, e.g. using surrounding buildings, reflection in the glass facade, or even the 30ft fountain (as suggested by AllanPhang). Including a foreground interest e.g. person, flower etc will help to give the impressive Petronas Towers its true sense of height as well as greater depth to the picture (3-D feel as pointed out by AReality). Cheers, Adrian. |
