Default macro filter for minolta dimage z1?

hi

is there a macro filter available for the z1?

can't seem to take real close macro shots with my z1 so thought a macro filter might be helpful.

thanks

I hope I am right by saying that but there is a macro lens for the Z1, it is also a teleconverter or something...2X if I am not wrong. The problem is that you need to get some lens adapter or something but it is still not out yet. I have been trying to find the adapter and still am looking for it.

Hee... don't have a Z1, but well, the dimage series and A1 all has a 49mm thread... think Z1 should be the same, i.e. you can just pick up any 3rd party filters and use it on your Z1 as long as the filters are 49mm threaded.

Z-1 official accessories only have one 0.75x wide angle lens.

Was chillin ard Cathay Photos Peninsula and found out that there is actually a 3rd party adapter tube with another 3rd party wide angle lens. Once you remove the wide angle portion, it becomes a macro lens. Pretty good I think. Dunno if I got ripped off but I got them both for like a little under $100. Initally I wanted to get a flash but ended up getting that as well and he gave me discounts on them. Hope this info is useful.
