    Default Really weird seller

There's this recent seller on CS.
Posted a Canon 7D for $1000, say brand new and reason is need money.
Also posted a Canon 500D for $400, also mint.
Same seller but on both posts, gave different hp no.
Both hp no. are invalid - either get 'user busy' or no dial tone when cut off.
No matter what time you call...
And then, his post count is 0.
Is this a prankster or what?
    Really weird.
Got people so free to come here to play prank?
I really dunno what to think of this.
Maybe mod should ban him is he is playing pranks here or posting invalid info/ stuff for sale.

It is the camera, not the photographer.

if you are silly enuf to deal with someone newly registered with 0 posts ...... u are just asking for it...

    so many reasons

in the past I had a jagoff who listed a number of someone else he wanted to play a trick on (to get total strangers to call this clueless poor guy and ask about camera for sale).... imagine all day getting calls like this....

For me..... if the opposite party got no history and low post count.... dont waste time because

    1. it might be a prank
    2. might be real seller but with no history and therefore dont mind losing reputation by selling a lemon with hidden problems

Could be genuine seller with good stuff and good price but....... but why take that risk?

Oh yeahh... I was suspicious but I wouldn't mind to do a face to face deal.
If it was any other way, no way.
No shipping and no moneygram transfer... absolute no-no.

The weird thing is, this person is not even contactable after posting these weird posts.
Then post for what? Did not even try to scam pple.
    So that's really weird.

I will put red triangle on those posts anyway.

Well, a phone call doesn't do me much harm.
If dealing, will definitely make sure it comes with warranty card and check the warranty card to make sure it is genuine. And definitely test items thoroughly. And definitely face to face deal only.
If these conditions can be reached, it is quite safe.
Of course, no meeting at ulu, strange places too.
Normal city area or mrt stations only.

I saw that particular thread that u were referring to. I think such good deals don't exist on Earth. I guess there is nothing much a mod can do about it. Just keep our fingers crossed that no one gets cheated.

Perhaps get the serial number and in this case, check with service centre on wether said device has been reported stolen...

always remember that 'cheap things no good, good things no cheap, free one throw away'

$1000 for a 7D is too cheap to be even true to contact the seller!!! forget it and move on!

lol... I guess there's truth in that.
I once bought a good bike off a gambler that was desperate for money though... haha.
