iPod for photo storage?

Anyone tried using iPod for photo storage? Any comments?

I had an Ipod but has never use it for photo storage. WHY?

cos the adaptor is too expensive, more ex than x-drive 2..

And furthur more the batt on the ipod cost $200 to change.
If I use it more frequently, the batt will die faster

Therefore I would rather buy a X-drive 2

The Belkin iPod Media Reader cost $190.51 & it's using 4 AAA batts. Don't know whether does it drains the batt on iPod or not.(When transferring images to iPod).

I believe it does uses the batt in the ipod, how to record image/data on to the harddisk (within the ipod) if it is not spining ?

My friend did not try to store photos on his ipod but other data and there was no problems at all. Guess it will make a expensive storage media...
