Got a couple of PMs asking about them, so thought I'll post here.
Got mine from MS Color, at $40 each. Not sure if they still have them. At that point of time East Gear don't have these, not sure if things have changed |

Is there any differences between the original batteries and the third party batteries?

The OEM batteries do seems to have somewhat shorter run time, but their mAh labels indicate that too......... |

Hi Frisky! Thanks or sharing the information. Really appreciate your kindness. I will check out with MS Color on their availability. I am alright with the shorter run time for the OEM batteries.
As for East Gear, I have checked with them just before the CNY, and they have said that they do not carry any OEM Panasonic Batteries yet. Also, I have read somewhere that on the internet that FZ1 & FZ10 uses the same battery type. But, like what Frisky had said, do check on their compatibility before purchasing. Cheers. |

I'd just gotten a third party battery for FZ1 at $60 for CP. Still can't decide whether I'd spend too much on it or not...

Why are the OEM batteries so expenisve?
For $10 more, you can get an original Panasonic battery. Is the specifications of the OEM battery same as the original (7.2V & 680mAh)? Like what frisky had said, lesser mAh values means shorter run time. I have got an original one from a shop in SLS for only $73.50 with GST. It is so far the cheapest original battery I have found after walking many shops. If anybody is interested to get original battery, do let me know & I will PM you the shop details. ![]() |
