    save money and buy a dedicated flash system like the Nikon R1 Kit
    the R1 has a diffuser and a flexible clamp too
    everything nicely mounted
    that is what i use

    D80
    105mm Micro
    pop up flash
    r1 kit
    SB800

    Thanks for the suggestions, but I currently have no more budget. I will try to DIY something or get something cheaper at our Mass Order section.

    Yes, but not at the short end because it'll vignette at this end of the lens
    Take the shot!

    Np bro, there's actually no "BEST" macro lens, much depends on how u perceive it to meet ur needs and whether ur pocket is need enough to finance for it..

    I will say the SAL-100M28 looks good enough for general macro (flora, bugs etc);
    If constrained by budget, the Tammy 90mm f2.8 gives most of the reputable cam brands abang for their bucks for macro in a similar focal length range.

    Tat said, i been wanting to try my hands on ZF 100mm f/2 Makro-Planar T

    actually minolta/sony macro is not as sharp as the tamron 90mm :S

    thats what i heard from another alpha user.

    and based on my hands on.. my beercan with raynox performs almost the same as minolta 100mm x.x

    then again. i just started playing around macro
