Default Unknown lens mount

Hi All,

I'm a newbie here and need some help. Hope that I'm at the right place.

Can anyone identify the type of mount for this lens?

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3068/...92784381_b.jpg

Found it on EBay. It's a Carl Zeiss Jena Triotar 135mm F4 and the seller says it's an Exacta II.
To me it looks like a Pentacon6/Kiev60 but can't be sure

Any input is appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Hmm,

135 F04,0 lens for P6 sounds unlikely (it's too small as well). If the seller says Exakta mount, he/she probably is right. If it's not screwmount then it should be Exakta mount if it's East German and that old.

Not that many P6 lenses around. CZJ 2 X Flektogon, Biometar 80, Biometar 120, Sonnar 180,...

No 135 as far as I know. Hope this helps. Sean.

Thanks a lot for sharing. really appreciate it.

Just found out what the mount type really is.

It's a Praktina. Found that out from a friend who's a Praktina freak.

Very rare but pretty useless from a conversion point of view. Bummer...

Oh yes,

I forgot about the Praktinas. Long time ago, haha.

It would be a lens for 24 x 36mm. Biotar = 135 Film -> BioMEtar = 120 Film (P6). So Triotar = 135 Film -> TrioMEtar = 120 Film (P6). As far as I know there is no Triometar.

Are you looking for P6 mount lenses?

Cheers, Sean.

Man. You really know your film camera/lenses.

I'm not particularly into P6 mounts.
Just manual lenses in general, to be adapted in DSLRs.
Been sucked into the wonderful world of manual lenses after visiting www.mflenses.com.

Are you particularly into P6?
Do you know if they are easy to adapt to EOS?

If i am not wrong, there should be an adaptor for it. P6 mount is a kind of breech locking system mount and for 6x6 box frame. I got my adaptor from the Bay for my 4/3 mount.

I think you can get the P6/EOS and Exacta/EOS adapters on ebay.

Saw all the adapters on ebay that you guys mentioned.

Will start looking into them in more detail before deciding on one.

Resisting the urge to just buy one for every mount that is available and get it over with.

Cheers.
