Default Seagull 4A103

My Hai Ou has been with me since the mid-nineties. Every now and then it get a trip to catch some travel snaps.

Not so plasticky as the new sisters. Quite a cute little TLR

Time to do something disgusting

Loaded Kodak Ektar into my Seagull to see how sharp the SA-85 lens would be between F5,6 and F8. Let's take a look at this photo:

Pretty sharp. The new Ektar really has very fine grain and scans very easily. This "golden hour" portrait was scanned and then just auto levels and auto colour balance in CS2. Mind that the film is really a bit slower than the rated 100ASA.

This photo will really print nicely. The Hai Ou SA-85 has good centre sharpness to make good use of even modern films. Surprisingly the camera focuses accurately too!
