    Default Help.... abt Tiger airways

anyone here ever tried to call Tiger Airways? They NEVER answer do they????? now i dont know what to do... Remember few months back their very cheap promo? bought tickets for 2 trips. One trip to KK, they cancelled the flights totally. And refunded to us automatically. The other trip, they informed us 3 weeks prior the trip that the timing has changed. There are now totally no flights on the day which I paid for. I can change the date of my trip or ask for refund. I cannot go for this trip already because of the change. And I've been calling for a week, each time at least 10min!! Sometimes 20min!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and NO ONE EVER ANSWER!!!!!

Does anyone know whether we can go to budget terminal to ask for refund? ANy counter there????

    Helppppp...

Go to airport talk to counter staff is easier.

Yes, budget airlines really can get unreliable. they will postpone cancel when they need to.

Their mission is to operate cheaply to pass savings to customers. But if flight cannot cover basic cost, they will not choose to operate at a loss.

Fly Singapore Airlines... always reliable, always good.

sadly, you are right, NOBODY answers. They are always VERY BUSY one...not enough operator to pick up. With zero operators, its always hard to satisfy anybody

They answer my call after 20 minutes. What I do is I let it run and do my own work. Once people pick up, I pick up the handset and speak to them.

    Good Luck

I used them once on a business trip to Jakarta as I couldn't get SQ flights (Hari raya holiday weekend!)

While I don't mind not getting the usual in-flight perks, what really turned me off was the budget terminal and the fact that you needed to walk up the damn plane!

There were very few sitting area at the gate, which reminds me of a place where immigration offenders are rounded up than an airport.

The flight staff were friendly in fact. Kudos to them! As I was leaving the plane, the stewardess cordially greeted me goodbye "Hope to see you soon". I smiled back with the thoughts "Hope not!"

i had no bad experience with them on my first flight, everything is great. Hmm, except they emailed us saying theres a chnage in time from 10.30am to 10.30am. Got be bewildered for a second, maybe the counter staff brought her toddler along.

I believe there's a counter there at the budget terminal. If not, why they mentioned that counter booking is available although at higher prices?

However, reading from alot of people, Tiger have caused heartpain to many Airasia is the way to go.

The last time I call tiger airline is in Sept 2009 due to change the departure date. I keep on calling and waited at least for 1hr to get the staff answer my call.

Just come back from a Oversea trip which flies on Tiger airway. I must say the service is really a nightmare. I have being trying my best to call them on the hotline for the pass 2 weeks before my flight for some other arrangement but unable to get thru, each time holding the line for 30mins .... really a nightmare. Even talking to the SG airport stuff and was given a bad remark " sorry, we are just ground handler. You have to call their hotline for arrangement" ... I was like WTF ... anyway give up talking to them. so just procedure with the trip. Really give budget fly a bad name.

budget airline, what do we wish for? Same here, last time would like to enquire the postpone thing due to eye's problem, in the end, worked the thing out by myself.

Actually what I think they are thinking is that they assume that their passengers would be net savy, in the way that know how to use their webpage to do most of the stuffs. Luckily during that time managed to come out with solution.

Phoned twice or thrice? can't remember. First try 15-20 minutes , 2nd smarter, 10 mins and lastly 3rd, 5 mins. Haven't tried to email them, is there any in the first place? and will they answer?

Well, in the end of the day, it is a budget airline, period!

THere is no email. Only one phone no. and one fax no. They even give explanation why they don't offer email, what er, want to give more personalise n more well thought reply to customer. I think it should be, "no email no need to reply customer"

Thank GOODNESS this morning they answered my call after nearly 10min. Goshh..

You know, I understand if budget airline cancel a flight when the flight is not full. But they offered the $1 ticket promo and the flights are fully booked in 2 days. Yet they cancelled the flight completely. That one at least they auto refund to me, no need I call and call.. But this trip... gosh... nvr take tiger again.

THeir hotline is really hot until the staffs dare not touch the answer key.

A friend of mine took flight fr Sin to Kl last month, flight time supposingly on 8.55pm required check in at 6.30pm.
First time changed annouced was 10.30pm, still needed to check in at 6.30pm!!!
Then the 2nd time change to 1am!!!!!

I think tigerairways is among the worst budget relative to AirAsia , JetStar & fireflies.

    Just my sharing...

not among the worst, it's THE WORST. I heard from my fren that singapore has the best and the worst airline in the world. No.1 of cos SIA, the last, in the whole world, is Tiger airway. i didnt read the news or wat, jt heard from my fren.

I've booked tiger 4 times, 1 time, time changed in same day, still ok. another time, flight cancelled completely, didnt even hv the choice to change. and this time day of flight changed completely, caused me not able to go on the trip, luckily i nvr paid for any hotel.

I have to agree on this. Air Asia use to delay / cancel flight, but that was like 5 years ago. Now, it is far better then Tiger or Jetstar.
