some my ID-11 water droplets turns yellowish .... does it matter? i mixed the chemical on last yr's xmas day only. i just stored it in a normal 1.5 litre mineral water container ... i've also notice some sort of moulds or fungus under the container cap... the last time i used the chemcial was before it turns yellowish.

I'd not trust it, better to mix up a new batch to be on the safe side.

..slight discoloration of ID-11/d76 is fine (so long they're clear)... droplets and those around the brim usually oxidised since they're exposed to air (always ensure u squeeze as much air out as possible before tightening the cap), just rinse them off. But if you find your solution like 'green tea' or 'tea oh', throw them away. I've mixed these and stored for 3 months before I started using them, no problems. But if you're not comfortable, just mix new.

u can use any container, the diff is how long in it the solution will last.. I use some glass containers..but I use mainly black collaspible bottles which are durable and allow u to squeeze out excess air before capping. I use 1L and 2L types and they cost between $9 to $15.. get the use ones.. there's always people selling them along with their darkroom set..
![]() for short term storage, any clear plastic (soft) bottles are good, the softer type allow u to squeeze excess air out easily. I use them one-shot. |
