Default CNY Atmosphere at Chinatown

Its been quite a while since I went out snapping. Got a sudden mood today to go down to Chinatown to capture some CNY atmosphere. However after going back n review thru the output, I feel that I still didnt mange to get the atmosphere on picture. Maybe its day time as I feel nite time will give a stronger flavour. Those who view the photos pls give mi some comments on further improvement. Tks

Its gona be a crowded day at Chinatown judging from the heavy traffic

The alleys are packed with people of all ages

Wow Wow Look at the varieties of candy they have in store

Can't imagine wat CNY will be without the all time favourite Bak Kwa

Another common fruit at CNY Anyone knows wat it symbolise?

Its the best. Dun bluff you

Placing some red cherries at home will certainly add more festival feel to the house

Nice colourful pictures!
I was there this afternoon and it was already quite crowded. Might have problem finding a good place to snap your picture with all the shoving!
I have a picture to add to your collection. Its an old lady checking out the melon seeds along Smith Street.

Yup Slight twitching on the curves. My intention was to use vibrant colours to bring out the mood

Hey Falcon24, did you use digi cam and tripod? I was that during that night and it was so crowded that i can't really take a good shot on anything, even at the preserved meat stall. All i can count on my tripod to prevent such blur images when taking pics at night and i know it looks stupid to set up tripod when there is lots of ppl around.

Yup some nite shots are taken with tripod some are handheld. To minimize handshake I actually increase the ISO to 100 for handheld shots. All photos taken with A70

Nope. I guess the lighting condition was reasonable at that store for a decent handheld shot
