Think it's a good hobby but fly fishing in Singapore is very restrictive. This is not allowed in public place (reservoir) as it is deemed as dangerous ? Can only decide if I want to pursue in Nov. Always wanted to learn since I would get to travel to States and it's more appropriate. Every now and then kenna suan for accumulating so many fishing gadgets.Need to get rid of alot of my current rods. Think we met before if you're the one conducting long distance casting at East Coast berach many years back.
I dun think I conduct any long distance casting as I don't do surf-fishing. I'm more into bait-casting and fly fishing. As for local reservoirs, it's actually restricted to the lenght of the rods (less than 9ft)
If you need some more ideas on fly fishing, you can always check out Coho @ Beach Rd for more details.
My photography is a side effect of a railway addition. I like to observe/photograph any thing that runs on rails.... A hobby that these days that often has over enthusiastic security/police accusing you of being a terrorist.
I feel sorry for the aircraft spotters, they must get victimised even worse, hanging around airports with cameras.
(A friend in Australia did get 'told off' by the Police once when working in Cairns. He had an afternoon off so decided to drive out to the airport, went around the perimeter road to where he could see the field well and lay out on the bonnet of his car to watch the traffic. Shortly the police came around and told him 'to move on'...)
yah... these days, we can't really go too near the airfields...
