Thumbs up Good news: Adapter Tube for Olympus C-5060

Hy there,

Great news for Olympus 5060 owners. Soligor has released a Adapter Tube (48,5-->52mm) for Olympus 5060.

So now we dont have to buy the expensive and difficult to find 40.5mm Olympus filters. We can easily find 52mm filters at lower prices.

Sounds good...esp for those intending to get 5060 or hasn't bought any filters yet. I bought the UV Filter already....and intend to keep it that way....hey...but image70 is right....the adapter tube helps to lower cost of accessories....
Still, I personally dun mind paying more for bayonet type adapter tube....but the irksome thingy remains...you can't fix a filter on the tube.....!

Yeah, that's it you can't get an adapter tube from olympus for filters, they only have CLA-7 tube for lens ... i really don't understand that politic. They will lose on the filters market when "3th party" tube's come around. With the Soligor tube you can attach non Olympus lens and filters ....

then potentially you could use any conversion lenses with screw threads but watch out for vignetting with wide-angle converters.

Yup. From what i have gather from internet before i brought this wide-monster and their conversion lens, i observed that many other photographers over the world are trying all ways to attach other brands of lens using such adapter. One brand stands out of the lots is Olympus. Their old range of tele lens have been much sort after.

Personally, have the wide lens for this 5060 and love it as it give me no vignetting with minimum distortion of my pictures taken with it. May be there's cheaper alternative to it's wide and tele lens but quality-wise is unsure.

Maybe i might try out getting this adapter with a tele lens for my wide-monster instead. Anyone got a 3rd party tele lens tested with this adapter? Can post result?

Olympus have very good wide-angle converters too such as WCON07 and WCON08.
