from the metz website like cannot swivel horizontally, only can tilt +90 and -something. I think important to swivel horizontally. I always use that when i take in portrait (camera vertical) position and wan to bounce the flash off ceiling. i use metz 32 mz 3 with oly adaptor for 5050, so can only say metz flash is good.

Is there any replacement model for Metz32mz3? I was actually considering getting it when I heard that it was discontinued.

din noe it is discontinued. then get the 44mz2 lor. it is more powerful and has variable output strength. then buy a cheap $20 L bracket from CP, the one that can fold one. with the bracket, you can use the camera in both portrait and landscape with the flash upright, so can bounce off ceiling, and look more stylo oso. cheers!

I don't think the $20 bracket allows you to use the camera in both portrait and landscape with the flash upright and capable of bouncing off ceilings. The brackets, e.g. Stroboframe, that allows this usually cost in exces of $100.

Yes , it is $20 and I have two. Upright meaning the flash head end is at the top and hotshoe end is at the bottom. So you can bounce off the ceiling in both camera orientation. The only problem (if you think it is a problem) is that the flash is not directly above the lens. You can modify the bracket a little to bring the flash closer to the vertical plain of the lens but it won't be perfect. Stroboframe quickflip is different. What u can achieve with stroboframe it is that the flash will always be directly above the lens, but it will not be upright in the portrait position. Therefore if your flash cannot swivel horizontally, you still cannot bounce off the ceiling in portrait position even though it costs $100+.
