Default Tamron 28-75mm f2.8

Checked several stores and all have run out of stock for this lens. Cathay has 1 unit for Nikon mount but not the Canon.

Did any one here buy this lens and caused the out of stock situation?

This must be a hot selling lens. Reviews raved that it is as good as the Canon 28-70mm L lens.

If u have this lens, what's your take?

Definitely a value for money lens. Light, cheapest among the f/2.8 mid-zoom and optics is excellent. Focusing speed is good. My Chinatown shots were all taken with this lens

One should only buy lens if he/she really needs it. For me, its because I need to replace my fogged EF 28-105 USM. I won't advocate BUY BUY BUY. If your needs requires it, then buy Getting this lens won't makes one a better photographer

This is the culture. You can't fight it. Don't bother.

Anyone shot with this lens on a full frame / film SLR? How does this perform against the 28-70/2.8L in terms of distortion, contrast and flare? What about at f/2.8?
