Default How to: Set Windows/ PS3 to save more than 2GB files?

    Hi,

I am running into a bit of problem. How to set Windows (Vista) and Photoshop CS3 to save file size bigger than 2GB? When i have file size bigger than that, i receive an error message and 'saving the file' is rejected.

    Thanks in advance.

    Is your hard disk full?

Nope. Hard disk is not full. On my PC, it has 72 GB left while the file is on an external harddrive which has 342 GB left (1 terabyte external harddisk).

    thanks... any other suggestions?

    Hi,

I got my answer. Here's the sharing:

Presumably you are (trying) to save a PSD. Unfortunately, PSDs are limited to 2GB or less.
No switch or setting to increase this, but for anything larger, save as a Large Document Format......... a .PSB file.
Documents up to 4 Exabytes, (that's 4 million Terabytes !!) can be saved as PSBs.

Also note : The maximum file size Photoshop CS3 supports is 300,000 x 300,000 pixels. "
