Haha ... actually is not 1 day. It was my dream about 10 years ago, but now seem that the price is getting higher and higher and had crossed the $5K for a modest complete system ie body, standard lens and mag back.

The first Hasselblad catelogue I have has Cindy Crawford as cover page model.

The time seem ripe .... in deep consideration ...

Both Phase one and Leaf make backs that can be fitted to the 503CW ... cost for the backs starts at around 6,000 USD new.

Keep on going, the A20/25 will cost you closer to 20K plus There's no other viable alternative apart from Leaf backs and they are in the same price league.

Based on the price quoted by Ruby Imaging during the XieMo Hasselablad Master Seminar on Saturday. The H5 by Phase One costs S$18,000 brand new. They do sell reconditioned ones at $12,000. This is the cheapest among all the Phase One digital back at 6 megapixels.

See their website at www.phaseone.com

I've been using the Hasselblad with the PhaseOne H5 and H20 for quite a many of years. Having tried many digital backs like Sinar, Leaf and Kodak, none of them beat PhaseOne in all aspects in hardware and software. They've very good customer service and support too. Seng Fai, the director of Ruby Imaging, is alway there to help if you've any problem anytime of the day which really impressed me.

If you've a budget, I'll suggested that you get a Mamiya than Hasselblad which honestly goes better with PhaseOne (Trust me. I'll have switch to Mamiya if not for the huge range of Hasselblad system that I've presently). And invest in a reconditioned PhaseOne H5 which is more than enough to handle most job. This workhorse will last you many years to come.
