Default new design for lens hood?

For those who have tried using polarizer together with lens hood will know the fustration of having to remove the hood every time you adjust the polarizer.

I porpose a new hood mounting similar to filter mounting screw. Just screw on the hood as you would for filters. This way, polarizer can be adjusted be turning the hood.

    Are there such design?

Typical non-dedicated hoods (mostly rubber) are screwed on like a filter.

Actually some ultra-wide angle zooms have hoods designed for easier use of filters. There is a bigger gap between the hood and filter so that your fingers can fit in to turn the filter.

Fine idea in theory and it's been done for years by those in the know using generic hoods. However your concept falls apart when using the thin profile PL's which don't have a threaded front ring.
