Default Cheapest Digital Point & Shoot Camera?

Hi,
Thinking of getting one as gift.
Any suggestion?

Is Fuji A101 the Cheapest Digital Point & Shoot Camera with LCD?

Thank you!

Hi, thanks for your suggestion.
I've check out the Oly C1, but I find that it cannot take movie clips.
So, in term of feature (or value for money), I think Fuji A101 is better right?

Thanks!

I dun know if the oly can take movie clips or not but it depends on wat u want. For me, i was never interested in movie capabilities tats why i chose the oly 2040 altho its got no sound recording. I believe many pple ard here think that fuji tends to give a more vibrant colour than oly so u might like to take lens characteristics into consideration.

I agree with you.
I'm having Oly 2040 too.

I just thought that it would be more interesting/fun to have movie capturing capability for my friend who is a newbie...

BTW, A101 also no sound recording...

Thanks!

I got my C1 with the adobe photo elements SW, + 2 x 8 mb card + GP charger + 4x1600mah batteries startup kit.

I choose Oly as I know their service centre give good service IF my camera cannot work sometime down the road...
