    Default Strange moon rising

Looked out the window n saw a full moon. Wanted to shoot it (after seeing some real nice moon pics in these forums). All my pics ended up wif just a round bright moon Will post them here as examples. Only one which turned up more acceptable (to me) was when I tried on my new IR filter (which I bought half an hour ago) and yeah, i know that filter's not supposed to be used for this ... heh heh

ok ok ... as i don't have much space to post more pics, the said 'messed' up ones are just a round while circle (moon) with black backgound. haha

so can anyone show me how to shoot the moon? i saw some with the 'textures' nicely shown. but mine, just pure bright white. with the naked eyes, the moon looks real nice though.

    comments & help desperately needed

is it possible to shoot at a small aperture like say f8,longest tele 3X with long exposure while resting ur cam on a tripod.
would be interesting to see the result from there.

monoscope? what's that? nevermind, i'll find that out. hmm ... guess i'll avoid that territory, pick up more about shooting before burning more money on these irresistable toys. thanks a lot for the info.

thanks for your comment. ha ha ha ... fairy? didn't see one though. the cloud-like thingy n the photo, seems to be a 'trial' from a plane which just went past not long ago. as for the flare effect, i was surprised to see it happen too. i am very very new in photography, so i don't know when or where flares happen.

keke but err i really don't know how much diff does it make the tcon17 don't seem to make a big diff (to me) the moon looks a bit big, coz i cropped the pic.
