After reading one of the threads on flower photography, I decided to post some ancient flower photos. Some are scanned from negative film, some from 400 speed slide film (what was I thinking). The scanner is a HP photosmart. So forgive the huge amounts of grain.
![]() These 2 were taken at Botanics. I still like these shots (those who have seen my photo.net gallery will recognise them) ![]() These 2 were taken at home as practice shots. Obviously, one can easily do better. Hope this helps aspiring flower photographs. Flower photography is great practice when beginning. |

Hi erwinx,
I liked the one with the 3 white orchids. If the focus can be sharper and a little more contrast can be added, that will make it even better. Here are some of my earlier floral work: ![]()

some from 400 speed slide film ? wah ... y not use 50 or 100 ... I think the quality would be better ...
anyway nice shots !! I am thinking to start to take some flowers slides shots .. |
