Speaking from experience, this point always skips the mind of a beginner. Last time I also felt that getting a good body with some kind of a kit lens is the major bulk of my investment in photgraphy and probably full-stop after a 50-200. I was so WRONG... Ha.
I say the lens is the soul of a camera. What about the body? Well, it's just the body...

kit lens, Fast 50 and a 55-300. I think that's good enough except for the 18-55 kit lens.
    I dunno!!!

    sama sama here.
Got the istDL, was pleasantly surprised by the output compared with my Panasonic FZ8.
The zoom lens is enough...yup...enough..yup....wait a minute, I need a 50 f/1.4 and an 18-200 and an 18-50 and......suddenly the BBB virus struck.

    thank you.
my main interest is DA* 50-135.. coupled with in-body SR of Pentaxes..
    my intention is to go with a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 & Pentax 50-135 or Sigma 50-150 f2.8
    and may be a 70-300 f4-5.6 later..
    i'm a VR/SR addict with limited budget..
so..investing in K-x with mentioned lenses would be option for me..
i'll do more research in the mean time..

I'd suggest you get the Pentax DA 55-300. Good quality and sharpness wide open across all focal lengths. I lent it to a colleague who had the Sigma equivalent and he was impressed by it.
Only weakness is really aperture speed, but any lower, and it will cost much more.

Highly recommend for DA 55-300 as long zoom. I did buy one for a friend in Myanmar. Really impressed by its wide open performance. The best thing is it only cost u about $500 lately.
In combination with in body SR, u can do more lowlight compare to same priced C&N counterparts I think.

Can consider Tamron 17-50 and DA55-300 for the start. Later DA*50-135.
