Default Monitor for pp: LED TV, LCV TV or LCD Monitor?

Which type of monitor is more accurate for photo processing?
LED TV, LCD TV, LCD Monitor... there are so many types of monitors now.
Wonder which type produces better image accuracy for post processing of photos?
Understand, no monitor will be accurate without calibration... but some are more off than others.
Also, does glossy screen or matt screen matter?

I'm looking for a large external screen to be used as my computer's monitor.
One main use is post processing photos.
    Got any one to recommend?

LED is quite good esp the apple 24inch... but I am looking at Dell 24inch IPS panel.

Use CRT monitor if you dont mind the space. The colors are always correct

What difference does it make when comparing with LCD as both are also run on RGB colours?

Yes, I would like to get an IPS panel too.
Know how much this one costs and where can I get it?
The problem with IPS panels is, their prices have not come down!

Two very reliable sources for you to follow...

    * search or look for some friends or friend's friend whereby they work or know someone who works in the mediacorp mags publishing dept and ask them to take a snap of what is being used in their chief editor's workstn.

    * do likewise for the SPH - straitstimes chief editor's desk.

the item which they are using should be good enough for you too.

    isn't it that simple ?

For the apple one, go to an apple store. For Dell, go to Dell. For the Philips, look here:
