Finally, I dived into Window 7. First impression was ...... It is FAST!!!! Start up FAST! Application running FAST! ...... now I feel Vista SUCK!
I am impressed with the OS. Definitely will be buying 3 X Window 7 CDs for my other systems. Will be trying to install all my applications in the laptop to see its performance.
Now I feel my system is running at its full potential.
you didnt try win 7 RC? win 7 is a wonderful system.. it's actually an upgrade to vista ... like win 95 to win 98. i find that vista is too cluttered with rubbish... win 7 on the other hand is a reaaalll kick OS .. lolz
however i'm still gonna get a MB or MBP if i have the moolah.. using core2duo 2.16ghz still lags for CS3 under heavy usage compared to MB(sis using it .. was comparing). even the old g4 powerbook was much smoother .. and to think i maxed out my ram to 3gb and no other background was running .. hmmm...

I wonder if win 7 installed in my desktop which is Core i7 with 6 gig ram what will the performance? ..... it will fly?
RC version vs the Original version got lots of different. RC version is for user to test and feedback so that original version will have most Bug FIx.
I dont know if Win7 is the upgrade for Vista but more like its an upgrade for WinXp pro. Win 7 actually sits between WinXp pro and Vista. The best between both OS.
Buy a Lenovo and install Win 7 on it
Latest update. Completed installation of the Lightroom 2 and CS4 into the laptop. Running steady and smoothly. There are no rejection by Window 7 on all the softwares run on Vista 32 or 64bits. No restart on the system after installation needed for some.
I realized one good use of Window 7, which is the faster re-opening of an application. The application operates faster as you constantly using it.
BTW, the Window 7 I am using is the official version that will be released in the later date.
I will be purchasing another CD to fly my core i7.
win7 original design to max out the performance of core I7.
