I've used the Star Alliance promo a few times in the past couple of years for JAL / ANA cheap domestic flights
If you're going to Japan on a Star Alliance carrier (SQ is one of them, I've done a 2 weeklong stopover when coming back from the States on UA too), all domestic flights are 10000Y (+1000 odd for consumption tax) per hop up to a maximum of 5 hops. Not too much of a hassle too, the ANA office in CBD quite decently located, staff polite and courteous plus it's usually quiet so you get served quite fast. Just bring necessary documents and intl flight booking confirmation. I could be wrong though but I think they only accept cash (i.e. not sure).
So sometimes it's worth it for the extra on SQ factoring in the discount for domestic flights.

    Hi,

The hotels in Charleston have superbly furnished rooms that are stocked with the best appliances, not to mention very fast internet service, which gives you the convenience to do your work while staying in bed.
