Should be 2nd hand D30, price to features is the best 2nd hand DSLR you can find now in the market...WIDELY available...

S2 is definitely not going to be the cheapest, more expensive than the D100 and D60.

Those are not DSLR rite?
But E10 is considered a DSLR...think no other can be cheaper than E10....

I am looking for some DC which have a features :

1. Manual setting
2. Zoom - Better picture composition.

Definately, DSLR camera will have all the full feature. But price have become a big constrain.

I think still better to save $$ for a D100 or S1Pro ?

He was considering the Cybershots... so reccomend some other cams... the Fuji's 602 is one good cam.

BYW, E-10 has pretty neat add on lens up to 400mm I think. But those would only fit the E-10 and E-20...

Compare E10 to S1Pro, I would prefer S1Pro.... Nikon body... true SLR...

Any idea what is the price for S1 Pro now ?

If Ur not looking for a DSLR, then the Oly C2100UZ fits nicely.
No other digicam has a bigger zoom than the C2100uz

Ive seen somewhere(think in DPreview oly forum) that says C700uz's zoom is actually lesser than C2100(although it says both are 10x)....is that true?

For your requirements you don't need a DSLR. The SLR type digital cameras would serve you well.
