Beautiful shot. Can share how to achieve this effect?

Nice gradation of colour. The moon and the lone star really adds to an otherwise plain sky. Great !

Falcon : Don't think it's an effect. On a clear sky, there are no clouds to catch the rays hence the sunrise/sunset looks like that.

    Thanks for your kind comments.

This shot was taken 20mins after sunset. The skies of Perth are mostly clear with hardly any clouds. In summer, total darkness falls only at about 8:30pm. I was packing up to go home when I chanced to take this shot. It was the golden hue of the sun's setting on the horizon, coupled with the lone moon and star that caught my eye. Of course the guy fishing blended in nicely in the pic

Location: Woodman's Point Jetty south of Fremantle Port. The jetty is facing the Indian Ocean and it was pretty windy there though the pic suggests otherwise.

p/s: Falcon: Nature provided the effect, I just took the shot

Thanks sensires I did not use any filters for the shot. It was also a handheld shot.
