I believe you are using Auto White Balance which, in my opinion sucks for a G2. Probably explain why there is a orange cast in your pictures. (similar to the one old and the modern).

The autofocus in the G2 is not very good, especially in low light situation.
Can overcome by using the MF button located at the left side of the camera (LCD facing you). |
