You're planning to use this? You do realise that it is a 4x4 camera? Film for this has not been available for a very long time.
Did your friend inform you of this bit of information? If not, then not a very good friend IMO.. |

I'd strongly suggest you check on the availability of film. Even the 127 reels are being sold for not insubstantial amounts on *bay. Saying that the film is still being produced is of little use if the maker is sited somewhere in Europe and you're not.
So in response to your question, it all boils down to what you want to do with the camera. If you just want to keep it to look at now and then, I suppose its a good camera to own for its historical curiosity value. If you actually want to shoot with it, then there are more economical choices out there. |

based on my "research" on these few days, i noticed that yashica 124 is the best of this brand, isn't?
how about yashica 635, yashica LM? anyone used of these before? another question, any different between rolleicord and rolleiflex? same company different model? rolleiflex i belive is the best among of tlr am i right? |

124 has lots of fans otu there who generally feel it to be the best value due to durability and price concerns of the 124G. 635, question of whether you'll actually want to shoot 135 on a TLR, LM, have no idea about that.
As for which is the best, it's kinda like asking a bunch of beer fans which beer they prefer. You'll get lots of different opinions and some strong words. Some people swear by Rolleis, while others point to the Minolta Autocord as one of the most under-rated TLRs out there. Different strokes for different folks.

evilbay is way much cheaper compared to local prices. prices here are sometimes exhorbitant, but there are few in b&s section that their asking price is quite reasonable enough.
