Ricoh super 44 tlr

HI GUYS
i'm very very new to TLR and x know much about it.
but i starting wish to involved in this, try to get one of those TLR.

just want to ask that does anyone familiar with ricoh super 44 TLR?
one friend offer to sell me this.

was it good ?

i'm totally new to tlr so is good to listen to other opinion about this field.

You're planning to use this? You do realise that it is a 4x4 camera? Film for this has not been available for a very long time.
Did your friend inform you of this bit of information? If not, then not a very good friend IMO..

THE FILM USE IS 127 FORMAT ISN'T?
i search on the internet and there is still someone selling, but the price is expensive.

that's why i need some advice before i purchase.
anyway he didn't push me to buy , he just tell me that he got one left it there for years and willing to sell if i want to.

well, if you have the $$$ to spare & it's not expensively priced, can consider

If it's in working condition, may be get urself a few 127 film & take pics?

I'd strongly suggest you check on the availability of film. Even the 127 reels are being sold for not insubstantial amounts on *bay. Saying that the film is still being produced is of little use if the maker is sited somewhere in Europe and you're not.
So in response to your question, it all boils down to what you want to do with the camera. If you just want to keep it to look at now and then, I suppose its a good camera to own for its historical curiosity value. If you actually want to shoot with it, then there are more economical choices out there.

the best is i can get a good TLR, which is economically for real shooting, and worth to keep for collection.

well, is there any suggestion that you sifu guys can recommend?

i search some from the ebay, got few choices..some cheap some is ridiculous expensive..(to me)

some said rollei mamiya yashica is a good brand to start..i like some models from mamiya, but the price is a bit high, yashica is a good choice to me..what do you think?

124 has lots of fans otu there who generally feel it to be the best value due to durability and price concerns of the 124G. 635, question of whether you'll actually want to shoot 135 on a TLR, LM, have no idea about that.
As for which is the best, it's kinda like asking a bunch of beer fans which beer they prefer. You'll get lots of different opinions and some strong words.
Some people swear by Rolleis, while others point to the Minolta Autocord as one of the most under-rated TLRs out there.

evilbay is way much cheaper compared to local prices. prices here are sometimes exhorbitant, but there are few in b&s section that their asking price is quite reasonable enough.

ya i noticed that, i think it's same in ebay as well.
sometimes the bid goes too high and i will give up. been observed about 2 weeks, guess have to wait for right time...and luck

try the seagull 4a or 4b? its cheap and gd can pm for samples or i am sure alot bros here have used it b4. how much ur friend selling u the ricoh?
