Just tom pang this thread, also where can get the PVC tube they use on side or top of pickup with cover on both end, sort of to keep smaller pipes or maybe cables.

I am thinking of using it to contain maybe one or two 9ft back drop in it and rig it on the roof of my pickup, if need to transport them, to location, like missile launcher. Thanks

Wah cheam! Whats ID or OD? My requirements are only 32mm in diameter (internal) and 28 inches long. Thickness no preference. Where to get teflon tubes? I want to use it to contain some stuff and will require some sort of end caps. they have it as well?

end caps, if you are going to keep drawings, then go Art Friend, they have those for keeping drawings. or maybe even easier, call up DHL for tubes. hehe... paper 1 thou...

for PVC pipes, normally the 'endcaps' are loose, no screw in kind cos normally is glued at the end, simpler.

hmm, let me think of solution for u... lol... but i not in this line lah... will only be around late afternoon... time to work liao...

took this from production... seems good wor... its screw thread one, can just put a PVC tube, glue and its a waterproof screw cap. iirc should be bought from jalan besar area. tubes also can buy from there. The one i took have ID 50mm so uses a OD50mm... i think there is smaller sizes.

catchlight ones are the normal fittings. anyway can buy the structure and buy a tube of adhesive or epoxy to make it waterproof.

oh ya, took with a lousy iphone... lol...

Jalan besar shops has it. There is one shop I went a while ago is specialised in the PVC and PE pipes and its accesories.

Kranji road near the coffee shop where there is a temple alos has a variety.

Else the hardware shops in Toh Guan road east also has it.

actually most have, even those in toa payoh hdb area. just that the variety and type of connections differs, esp sizes of pvc pipes and pvc wall thickness. may have to walk around to look.

btw, unker PE, u intending to put the pipe open air or inside the shelter of the car? have to consider the loading aspect maybe can put a dessicant at the end of the tubes to prevent molding for your studio backdrop.

hmm, u got rack on the roof? have to think of a way to secure it, and also to think if wanna make it portable or not...

if make it a use then take kinda tube, the roof rack should have a quick release unless u wanna use wire to secure which is sometimes not really safe.

ur backdrop is how long and the diameter is how big ar? need clearance also... i see if i go by there help u take a look.

paper backdrop is standard 9 feet, diameter is about between 4 to 5 inches depend on whether is heavy duty or normal paper.

depends. better ask them, most shops only do hand sawing if the size you want is too long to put into your car. if you wan a nice edge, have to use tube cutter or disc cutter then use a sander and deburring tool to clean the edges and get nice perpenticular cut.
